A low, deep lounger that folds flat for storage is a rare thing in contract seating. This design hangs a woven cord seat and back between hardwood rails, carried on two crossed X-frames that fold together when the chair is lifted.
Two frame finishes shown
- Teak-tone hardwood, for warm garden-room and resort looks.
- Black-stained frame, sharper against stone paving and pale planting.
Where it belongs
The photos show it in a glass-walled garden room beside a water feature, and that is its natural home: covered verandas, conservatories, tea-house courtyards and roofed pool pavilions. Natural paper cord, as typically used on this design, should stay out of the rain. For open patios we weave the same pattern in a solution-dyed synthetic cord that can be hosed down and dries quickly.
Specifying
- Low seat of about 14–15 in (35–38 cm), suited to lounge tables rather than dining.
- Frame timber sealed on all faces, with stainless pivot hardware.
- Folds flat for overnight storage or seasonal removal.
Frame finish, cord type and color are confirmed per project.
