This banquette gives a beachfront deck the look of a resort lounge while seating guests at dining height. Back and base are wrapped in dark brown synthetic wicker over a metal frame, and a single long cream cushion runs the length of the seat. A slim black metal plinth raises the whole unit off the deck boards.
Why wicker on the back
A woven back lets air through, so it stays cooler in full sun than a padded back and dries faster after rain. HDPE wicker resists UV and salt air far better than PVC or natural rattan, and it can be hosed down.
Cushion specification
- Quick-dry open-cell foam in solution-dyed outdoor fabric.
- Ties or hook-and-loop strips underneath so sea breezes don't lift it.
- A zipped cover for laundering or replacement at season end.
Layout
The photo shows it against a parapet wall facing a timber-top dining table on a black pedestal, with white slatted stacking chairs on the open side, an efficient mix on narrow decks. Plan about 24 in (61 cm) of bench per guest.
Length, wicker color, cushion fabric and frame finish are made to your run; corners and L-shapes are drawn on request.
