Wind and cold end the outdoor season earlier than rain does. Freestanding wind screens help, but they take floor space and wobble. On the Windbreak, the screen grows out of the booth: two posts sleeve into the booth's back frame and carry a 47 in (120 cm) laminated safety glass panel in a slim 30 mm antique-bronze-finish frame, with the top edge roughly 7 ft 6 in (2.3 m) above the floor. Nothing touches the deck and nothing has to be drilled.
The booth body is the same drained, aluminum-framed design as our Tidewater booth.
An honest note on glass: laminated glass is heavy and vulnerable in ocean freight. For most projects we recommend shipping the frame and posts from our factory and having the glass cut and fitted by a local glazier to our drawing. Your quote will show both options so you can compare.
Planning notes. Screens work best on the windward edge of a patio, in runs that follow the prevailing breeze; check your local wind direction across the seasons before deciding where the screen side goes. Because the screen is carried by the booth, the booth's own weight and footprint resist overturning, but for exposed rooftops and waterfronts we size the frame and any fixing with your engineer. Glass should be cleaned with non-abrasive products to protect the laminate edges.
